Four new Himachal HC judges sworn in

Four new judges of the Himachal Pradesh High Court were sworn in here today.

Justice Vivek Singh Thakur and Justice Ajay Mohan Goel were appointed as Judges while Justice Sandeep Sharma and Justice Chander Bhushan took oath as Additional Judges at a ceremony held in High Court premises here.

All of them were administered oath of office by Chief Justice Mansoor Ahmad Mir. With these four judges, the bench strength of Himachal Pradesh High Court rose to 11.

Vivek Singh Thakur, Ajay Mohan Goel and Sandeep Sharma are from the Bar while Chander Bhushan is from Judicial services.

Justice Vivek Thakur enrolled with the Bar Council of HP in 1990 and remained Senior Penal Counsel for Central Government, Assistant Advocate General from 1998 to 2003 andAdditional Advocate General to the Government of Himachal Pradesh from 2008 to 2013.
 

Justice Ajay Mohan Goel enrolled with the Bar Council of HP in October 1992.

Justice Sandeep Sharma got enrolled as an Advocate with the Bar Council of HP in year 1993.

Justice Chander Bhusan practiced as an advocate from November 1984 to Jan 2003 in HP High Court, Shimla.

He was appointment Additional District and Sessions Judge on Jan 10, 2003 and served as Officer on special duty in the Himachal High Court.

Rajya Sabha member Anand Sharma, Additional Solicitor General Ashok Sharma and members of bar were present on the occasion.
