Four members of a family, including two minors, were found dead today at Rajgram village in Birbhum district, with police suspecting that they were electrocuted.

Sirajul Seikh (65), his second wife Nafisa Bibi (37), son Kabirul Islam (7) and daughter Bilkis Khatun (3) were found dead by their neighbours in their house in the Murarai police station area, police said.

A live electric wire was touching the bodies lying sprawled on the bed, presenting a grisly sight, they further said.

District SP Mukesh Kumar said, "Prima facie it appears to be a case of electrocution. An investigation, which has started, will only reveal the truth."

Seikh had three sons and three daughters with his first wife. After the death of his first wife, he married Nafisa Bibi.

Abdul Samim, brother of Nafisa Bibi, lodged a complaint with the Murarai police station accusing children from Seikh's first marriage of plotting the murder.
