Four people die due to cold weather in Nepal

At least four persons have died due to cold weather in Mugu, one of the most remote districts of Nepal, authorities said today.

The deaths were reported from Bhiyi village, located in the north of Mugu district. According to the District Health Office, four persons died due to cold-related ailments.

Among the dead were a 65-year-old man and his wife.

Following the deaths, a four-member health team was dispatched to Bhiyi from the district headquarters, officials said.

The health post in Bhiyi has been without any staff for the past three months, leaving local residents without minimum health services.
