Four persons die allegedly after consuming spurious liquor

The two, who were taken ill after allegedly consuming hooch last night, were undergoing treatment at Sadar hospital, the sources said.

The villagers cremated the bodies of two persons, while those of two others are kept in the hospital for a post-mortem.

The suspected hooch victims were identified as Parmeshwar Das (36), Ashok Jha (37), Ramdev Das (35) and Suvan Ram (62), the sources said.

The Superintendent of Police Ranjeet Kumar Mishra said that local excise officials had left for the village to investigate the matter.
