Four persons die in road mishap

At least four persons, including three government officials, were killed in a road mishap near Hatibandha on Baripada-Udala road, police said today.

The accident took place when a speeding dumper hit a motor-bike with two persons and a cyclist last night. All the three persons died on the spot and another was injured.

The injured person died today on the way to SCB medical college at Cuttak while being shifted for treatment.

The deceased are identified as Rajashri Dhir, Revenue Inspector and Subhasmita Behera, Additional Revenue Inspector of Khuta Tehsil office along with Sangram Behera, senior assistant of Gopabandhunagar Tehsil, cyclist Bhutala Baskey, said police.
 

The driver of the dumper managed to escape while the dumper was seized by the police.
