Four persons killed after truck rams into tractor-trolley

Four persons, including two labourers, were killed when a truck rammed into a stationary tractor-trolley here this morning due to low visibility, police said.

The incident took place near Pardholi in CB Ganj area where due to fog-induced low visibility, a stationary tractor-trolley was hit from the rear side by a truck, killing two labourers and the truck's driver and cleaner, they said.

The labourers have been identified as Rakesh (24) and Devidas (27), while the identity of the truck driver and its cleaner are yet to be ascertained.

The bodies of the victims have been sent for postmortem.

After some eyewitness said that the tractor-trolley was stopped by police for checking, due to which the accident took place, Superintendent of Police (City) Sameer Saurabh said a probe has been ordered as to why the tractor-trolley was standing there.
