Four persons killed, as many injured in road accident

The mishap took place as the pick up van rammed into an autorickshaw carrying about 10 occupants due to oversight by the two drivers, the sources said.

Four persons, identified as Sheshnath Kunwar (80), Chandan Kumar (24), Shatshi Priya (18) and Reshab Kumar (14) died on the spot, they said adding four others sustained injuries.

The injured persons were admitted to the Jawahar Lal Medical College and Hospital for treatment where the condition of two of them was stated to be critical, according to the hospital's medical superintendent Vinod Kumar.

The autorickshaw was carrying the passengers on way to Sonbarsa from Adampur locality in Bhagalpur town for Chhath festival, the sources said.
