Four persons of a same family died on the spot and two others were seriously injured when a truck hit them on NH 34 at Dihinagar area in North Dinajpur district today.
Police said the accident occurred when the stone-laden truck lost control and hit six persons who had just alighted from a night-service bus and were waiting on the National Highway.
The persons who were from Murshidabad were on a visit to their releative's house.
The injured were rushed to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital in a critical condition.
