Four persons, including a woman, were killed after being run over by a DMU train near Coochbehar station in north Bengal, police sources said today.
The incident happened last night when the victims were standing on the tracks to witness a puja procession which was on its way for immersion of the Durga idol, the sources told PTI.
The accompanying musical soiree with the procession prevented them from hearing the train whistle resulting in the disaster.
Later, postmortem was conducted on them, police said.
