Four poachers were picked up by a joint team of forest personnel and police from villages near the Kaziranga National Park in Assam, official sources said today.
Three men and a woman were apprehended from two villages near Agoratoli forest camp of Kaziranga, the habitat of the one-horn Great Indian Rhinoceros last night, the sources said.
The woman was identified as Pisoli Doley, mother of one of the poachers Gautam Doley, the sources said, adding that 18 rounds of live ammunition were seized from her.
The three other poachers were identified as Jogeswarwar, Gautom Doley and Harikrishna Doley, they said, adding, they were being interrogated.
