The unidentified persons opened fire on patrolling police personnel in Amdala Janpar village at around 2 AM leaving in four police personnel, including the Officer-in-charge of the police station, injured, police said.
The policemen retaliated but the gunmen managed to escape under the cover of darkness.
A massive search operation has been launched in the area to nab them.
