Four quakes hit western Nepal

A tremor measuring 4.4 on the Richter was recorded at 12.17 am today, the National Seismological Centre said, adding three other tremors were also recorded in the same region.

The epicentre of quakes was the border between Rukum and Rolpa districts, some 800-km west of Kathmandu.

Tremors measuring 5.6, 5.2 and 4.4 on the Richter scale hit the region yesterday, it said.

However, no damage to human or property was not reported so far.
