Four sentenced to life imprisonment in murder case

Four persons have been sentenced to life imprisonment for murdering a farmer in the district in 2009.

Additional District and Sessions Judge Shayam Kumar also imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 each on the convicts Kuldeep, Praveen, Gaurav and Amit after holding them guilty yesterday.

Cane farmer Vikas Jain was shot dead when he was returning from a sugar mill in Rohana village in the district on December 18, 2009.

In another case, three persons were sentenced to life imprisonment by a court here for murdering a man on June 12, 2002.

Additional District Judge Mohd Ali also imposed a fine of Rs 30,000 each on the convicts Ashok, Praveen Kumar and Lala.
