Four-storeyed bldg tilts in south Delhi, demolished

A four-storeyed residential building in southeast Delhi's Jasola was demolished by civic authorities after it had "tilted dangerously", authorities said today.

The families were evacuated and after which it was brought down yesterday, South Delhi Mayor Kamaljeet Sehrawat said.

Police authorities said that the SDMC was informed yesterday about the building after it had "tilting dangerously".

The mayor said the structure was brought down on the side of a nullah. Efforts are on to clear the drain of debris and restore normal flow.

Fire department officials said they were informed about the building yesterday and had sent a vehicle. The area was cordoned off.
