Four persons sustained severe burn injuries in a fire that broke out at a municipal car parking basement in southeast Delhi's Jangpura area today.
The incident took place around 9.50 AM following which three fire tenders, ambulances and quick response teams were rushed to the spot, a senior official said, adding that the injured persons were rushed to Safdarjung hospital.
The fire in the MCD car parking basement is suspected to be caused by a short circuit in an electric wire, following which is got snapped and sprang into a drum of diesel kept in a corner there, an official said.

Meanwhile, an Air India spokesperson said that the
minor fire (which broke out on the 22nd floor of AI building in Mumbai this morning) was brought under control in minutes by AI security, fire brigade and other agencies.
Also, there were no casualties and the damage is being assessed. The top management is at the site and the CMD is also rushing to the site from Delhi, the spokesperson added.
