Four women passengers die in mishap in AP

Four persons were today killed while as many others injured when the autorickshaw in which they were travelling met with an accident in Jangareddygudem mandal of West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh.

The autorickshaw driver had lost control of the vehicle while negotiating a steep curve and the vehicle tumbled down the sloped road causing the accident, Jangareddygudem Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) J Venkat Rao said.

Four among seven women passengers, hailing from Chinnayagudem village, who were returning from Lord Venkateswara Swamy temple in Parijatha Giri were killed in the incident, he said.

The three other woman passengers and the driver were injured in the mishap, police said.
 

Three of the injured persons were rushed to a local hospital, while another was shifted to a hospital in Eluru city in a serious condition.

A case was registered in this connection, he said, adding further investigation is on.
