Four women rescued from flesh trade

Four girls, including one each from Kolkata and Jharkhand, who were forced into the flesh trade, were rescued by police from various parts of the city.

Acting on a tip off, the police arrested one pimp and rescued two girls at a bus stand in Pallavaram, a police release said. The car that was used during the racket was also seized.

In two other incidents, three pimps were nabbed and two girls hailing from Jharkhand were rescued from an apartment and lodge.

All the pimps were lodged in Puzhal Central Prison while the four girls were sent to Government home in the city, the release said.
