France will next Friday hold a ceremony in honour of the victims of the massacre in Paris, the presidency said.

French President Francois Hollande will preside over the homage at the Invalides in Paris, the burial place of Napoleon, two weeks after the attacks which left 129 dead and hundreds injured.

The first of the victims will be buried next week, according to the Paris mayor's office.

Three teams of jihadists launched a coordinated assault on the Stade de France, Bataclan concert venue, several bars and restaurants in the worst-ever terror attack on French soil.

Seven attackers were killed or blew themselves up during the assault, while suspected ringleader Abdelhamid Abaaoud was killed during a massive police raid on an apartment just outside Paris on Wednesday.

Another gunman, the brother of one of the suicide bombers, is still on the run.
