"The government will be making essential medical tests free for patients in government hospitals at division and district level hospitals.
"Like the free generic medicines scheme, this project will also provide a big relief to people," he said in a function here.
Gehlot had earlier this month announced that essential medical tests will be made free of cost from next year and Rajasthan will be the first state in the country to do so.
