A free Wi-Fi service was today launched in Hazratganj area of the state capital by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav.

The Wi-Fi service was launched during the 'Ganjing Carnival' in heart of the city here, enabling people to use internet service free for 20 minutes ever day.

Addressing the people, Yadav said that when a good thing is started, it benefits all. It has been the effort of the government that trade should increase not only in Lucknow, but in entire state.

Stating that Wi-Fi service launched in Lucknow should reach other places, he said, "4G services are also coming. When speed increases, it paves way for development."

Further talking about the Agra-Lucknow expressway, the CM said that work was being completed at a fast pace.

Regarding the Lucknow Metro, Yadav said that the fast pace of work would set example for other states.

Taking a dig at opponents who earlier mocked the Samajwadi Party's laptop distribution scheme, he said, "We have lunched Wi-Fi service. Ultimately it will run on these laptops. It would not be used to mow grass.
