'Slumdog Millionaire' star Freida Pinto is back on social networking site Facebook after a gap of four years and in one of her latest posts she has condoled the death of Bollywood actress Jiah Khan.

"I am a bit late to the party but after closing my FB account in 2009 because of some unpleasant intrusions, this is the first time I'm getting back on it... I begin a new journey with this Facebook page," said Freida in one of her posts, adding that she will use the platform to talk about causes that are close to her.

The 28-year-old actress was forced to deactivate her Facebook account in 2009 following the intense scrutiny of her personal life post her global fame with 'Slumdog Millionaire'.

Freida also shared her grief over the suicide of Jiah Khan at the age of 25.

"I'm sorry I have gone a bit quiet. I have been very disturbed by the news of the young and beautiful actress Jiah Khan passing away... The entertainment and film industry is definitely not as easy and glamorous as one may think of it. It is common and brutal to be on the very top one day and the next you could be nowhere in sight," Freida said.
