Freight rates for the nine-tonne payload section for select destinations declined at the local truck transport market in the national capital today following large availability of trucks in the market.
Transporters said heavy position of trucks in the market along with restricted cargo movements pulled down some of centres freight rates.
Delhi to Mumbai, Pune and Kolkata freight rates dropped by Rs 1000 each to Rs 29,000, Rs 31,000 and Rs 33,000.
Rates to Ahmedabad, Baroda, Patna and Surat also moved down by Rs 500 each to Rs 22,000, Rs 23,000, Rs 26,000 and Rs 27,000.
