Freight rates for nine-tonne pay load section for select destinations declined by Rs 1,000 at the local truck transport market in the national capital today following large availability of trucks amid insufficient cargo movements.
Transporters said adequate position of trucks in the market coupled with restricted cargo movements pulled down some of centres freight rates.
Delhi to Baroda, Ahmedabad, Pune and Kanpur freight rates dropped by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 25,000, Rs 24,000, Rs 31,000 and Rs 21,0000 respectively.
Rates to Mysore, Goa and Guwahati also fell by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 67,000, Rs 60,000 and Rs 61,000.
