Freight rates for nine-tonne pay load section declined by Rs 1,000 at the local truck transport market in the national capital today following easy availability of trucks as compared to restricted cargo movements.
Transporters said excess position of trucks against restricted cargo movements mainly led to fall in freight rates for select centres.
Delhi to Patna and Ahmedabad freight rates dropped by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 28,000 and Rs 24,000.
Rates to Kochi and Bengaluru also fell by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 80,000 and Rs 64,000.
