Freight rates for nine-tonne pay load section for Jaipur, Ludhiana and Chandigarh rose by Rs 500 each at the local truck transport market in the national capital today following pick-up in cargo movements against tight position of trucks.
Transporters said increased cargo movements against tight availability of trucks, pushed up freight rates for select destinations.
Delhi to Chandigarh, Ludhiana and Jaipur freight rates moved up by Rs 500 each to Rs 19,000, Rs 20,0000 and Rs 18,000 respectively.
Elsewhere, freight rates for other destinations remained unchanged.
