Freight rates for nine-tonne pay load section for Jaipur and Chandigarh rose by Rs 500 in the local truck transport market today on increased cargo movements against tight availability of trucks.
Transporters said increased cargo movements against tight availability of trucks mainly led to the rise in Jaipur and Chandigarh freight rates.
Freight rates from Delhi to Jaipur and Chandigarh rose by Rs 500 each to Rs 17,500 and Rs 19,500 respectively.
