Freight rates for nine-tonne pay load section rose by Rs 1,000 at the local truck transport market in the national capital today following pick-up in cargo movements amid tight position of trucks.
Transporters said shortage of trucks in the market against pick-up in cargo movements mainly pushed up select centres freight rates.
Delhi to Ahmedabad, Ludhiana and Jaipur freight rates moved up by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 22,000, Rs 19,000 and Rs 17,000, respectively.
Rates to Baroda, Goa and Hyderabad also went up by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 25,000, Rs 59,000 and Rs 57,000, respectively.
