Freight rates for nine-tonne pay load section improved Rs 1000 at the local truck transport market in the national capital today following improved cargo movements amidst short position of trucks in the market.
Transporters said apart from tight availability of trucks, pick up in cargo movements, mainly resulted rise in freight rates.
Freight rates to Surat, Ahmedabad and Chennai moved up by Rs 1000 each to Rs 28,000, Rs 24,000 and Rs 69,000, respectively.
Rates to Mysore and Puducherry also went up by Rs 1000 each to Rs 71,000 and Rs 73,000, respectively.
