To expand the scope of Indo-French cooperation, French Ambassador Francois Richier will meet West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and other state ministers next week.
During his three-day visit to Kolkata from December 15, he will meet the Chief Minister, state Industry minister Amit Mitra, Power Minister Manish Gupta and Governor K N Tripathi.
This is his second such tour to broaden the scope of Indo-French cooperation and develop joint, forward-looking projects in various fields, notably economic exchanges, tourism, social initiatives and culture, consulate officials said.

The Ambassador would also inaugurate the restored office of Alliance Francaise du Bengale at Park Mansions. A 1999 fire in Park Mansions had forced them to shift from their old office.
He would also confer "Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters" to Seagull Books publisher Naveen Kishore, editor and translator Kanchana Mukhyopadhay and academician Chinmoy Guha.
