French nationals pay homage to Paris terror victims

French nationals residing in the Union Territory of Puducherry today condoled the death of about 130 people in the November 13 terror attack in Paris.

French Consul General in Puducherry Phillippe Janvier Kamiyama led the condolence meeting and addressed those present.

A minute's silence was observed at the War Memorial, where the condolence meeting was held. The participants sang the French national song and also pledged their solidarity.

The French Consul General, accompanied by French nationals placed rose flowers at the foot of 'Soldat Inconnu' at the War Memorial and stood in silence for a few seconds.

A release from the office of Consul General said the Government of Republic of France had decided to pay homage to the victims of the terror attack today.
