The three-day French Film Festival, being organised by Cine Central and Alliance Francaise Du Bengale, will showcase five films at the state-run multiplex Nandan, a press release said today.
The inaugural show would be that of the 2011 French drama film 'Chicken with Plums' directed by Marjane Satrapi and Vincent Paronnaud.
Other films include the 1991 classic 'Delicatessen', Cedric Kahn's 'A Better Life' (2011) and Celine Sciamma's 'Tomboy'.
At its Bioscope multiplex, Priya Entertainments is organising a Telugu blockbuster film festival where five movies 'Jualyi', 'Businessman', 'Mr Perfect', 'Gabbar Singh' and 'Brindavanam' will be shown over a five days.
A communique from the authorities said the festival is being held keeping in mind the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations.
