Some police officers have been transferred as many as three times since the Amarinder Singh government took charge in Punjab which is something that demoralises and frustrates the force, senior Aam Aadmi leader H S Phoolka said today.
Phoolka said that one of the poll promises of the Congress' manifesto was that police would be given a free-hand in dealing with law and order problems and their tenure will be fixed.
It was also promised that there would be no political pressure will be there regarding transfers and postings, Phoolka said in a statement.
