The West Bengal government will give a fresh coat of paint to government-sponsored secondary institutions across the state soon.
"We will start and complete the process in the next couple of months which is part of cleanliness drive in schools which will both create better visual effect and help the students and staff follow hygiene," Education Minister Partha Chatterjee said.
On the colours to be painted, Chatterjee said "That is not important. We want the school buildings to gleam.
