Fresh gur variety quotes higher

Gur prices flared up by Rs 200 per quintal at the wholesale market in the national capital today as prices of new gur enquired at higher levels.

Muradnagar gur markets too remained in better form on strong demand for new gur varieties.

Marketmen said apart from higher prices of new gur varieties, vanishing of stored old gur stocks, mainly attributed the rise in prices.

In Delhi, gur Pedi prices jumped up by Rs 200 to conclude at Rs 3,000-3,200 per quintal.

At Muradnagar, prices of gur pedi were up by Rs 50 at Rs 2,800-2,850, dharyya traded at Rs 2,900 per quintal.
 

Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):

Gur chakku Rs 2,800-2,900, pedi Rs 3,000-3,200, dhayya Rs 3,000-3,100 and shakkar Rs 3,100-3,200.

Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,800-2,850, chakku Rs 2,450-2,600, khurpa Rs N.T. And Ladoo Rs NT.

Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,800-2,850 and dhayya Rs 2,900.
