Polling personnel will be sent by two helicopters for 15 polling stations in the Chitrakonda assembly seat in Odisha's Malkangiri district where fresh elections will be held tomorrow after Maoists disrupted voting on April 10, officials said.

The 90 polling personnel would be dropped at the polling stations by helicopter as the Maoists had snatched away EVMs and set them on fire last time.

"We have made all possible arrangement to ensure peaceful polling tomorrow in Chitrakonda assembly segment," Inspector General of Police Y K Jethwa said.

"Two helicopters are ready to be deployed for election duty," he said.

Jethwa said that security would be provided by central paramilitary force personnel.

The ECI has reduced the voting time in 22 booths where fresh polling will be held tomorrow. Polling would be held between 7:00 am and 3:00 pm.
