Admitting the complaint filed by L Chetan Kumar, a social activist, Lokayukta court judge N K Sudhindra Rao posted it to Dec 27 for further hearing.
Kumar alleged Somanna had amassed assets worth Rs 17.88 crore over a period of 36 years from 1974 as against his total income of Rs 2,26,32,293.
The complainant sought for an investigation under 13(1)(d) of the Prevention of Corruption Act.
This is the second complaint Sommanna is facing before the same court. The first one pertained to alleged denotification of land for pecuniary gain.
