Fresh tremors recorded in Nepal

A 5-magnitude earthquake today rocked Nepal, triggering panic among the people already battered by the two devastating earthquakes two months ago and over 330 aftershocks.

The tremor was recorded by the National Seismological Centre at 5.42 am (local time) with epicenter located at Ramechhap district, 150 km east of Kathmandu.

Nepal has been hit by 334 aftershocks measuring upto 4 or more on rector scale since the two powerful earthquakes on April 25 and May 12, which claimed nearly 9,000 lives and left behind a trail of devastation.

A 3.3 magnitude mild tremor was also felt at 1.22 pm here today with epicenter located in the southern part of the capital city.
