A bikers club and a city-based NGO have come together to organise a fun event for mentally challenged children at the Upvan lake here on March 30.

Activities like dancing, painting, mask making, etc have been organised for the children with special needs by the Night Wolf Riders Club and Jagruti Palak Sanstha here, the organisers told mediapersons here.

The NGO is also developing a facility-home for such children at Patan in Maharashtra's Satara district, which aims to house and take care of the mentally challenged persons, who have no one to care for them, Jagruti Sanstha's president Ishwari A Gulrajani said.

Night Wolf Riders Club co-ordinator Ketan Gawali said the programme is being organised to bring a smile on the face of the special children from Thane and surrounding areas.
