Writer-director Leticia Jorge from Uruguay says funding is a major problem for filmmakers from the South American region.

Jorge's film 'So Much Water' was screened at the ongoing International Film Festival of India (IFFI) here.

"Funding is a big problem for us. It takes a lot of time to gather finance and have movies screened in theaters. There are good actors and technicians but this is a problem we need to get a solution to," Jorge said.

Ana Guevara, who has co-directed the film with Jorge said that the film revolved around a simple story.

"My film is about a family that goes for a holiday and then get caught in a series of events that unfold," Guevara said.

Another film from South America which was screened at the fest was 'No Autumn, No Spring' a film from Ecuador.
