Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju has asserted funds will never be a constraint in implementation of road projects in Arunachal Pradesh but some of the issues related to it need to be addressed properly and timely.
He said this at New Delhi during a meeting with Chief Minister Nabam Tuki and representatives from the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways and state highway authorities to review the status of highways and other road projects in the state on Friday last, a release from the CMO said here today.
Rijiju said roads would be built under the Border Area Development Programme for which he would convene a meeting shortly.

He requested Transport Ministry officials to provide funds for feasibility study and DPR preparation in the current financial year, it said.
Rijiju informed that the MHA has made provisions for additional funds under BADP for Arunachal Pradesh.
The re-alignment issues at Daporijo, Bame and Darka on Potin to Pangin (BOT) Road was discussed and it was decided the road should pass through Daporajo district headquarters.
