Of these Non-Governmental Organisations, maximum of 26 were in Jharkhand, Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Abu Hasem Khan Choudhury said in a written reply.
He said four were in Haryana and two in Goa, while one each in Mumbai, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal.
In reply to another question, Choudhury said the Health Ministry has made statutory audit report a must for release of second tranche of funds to states under the National Rural Health Mission.
He said of the 35 states and Union Territories, only 17 have submitted the audit report, while 18 of them have not yet submitted the report for 2011-12.
