Jammu and Kashmir unit of Congress today asked people of twin border districts of Rajouri and Poonch to further strengthen the party to help it lead the state to the path of peace, progress and prosperity.
"Congress alone can better serve the interest of all sections of the society and lead the state to the path of peace, progress and prosperity," JKPCC president Saif-ud-din Soz said while addressing party rallies at Rajouri and Mendhar.
He said that Congress has emerged as a strong unifying and secular force in all three regions of the state.
Congress is the only secular force acceptable in all three regions and has emerged strong because of people's support to its policies and programmes, Soz said.
He said that Congress-led UPA government has taken keen interest for opening new projects by liberal funding for several schemes for development activities.
