Future Consumer Q1 net loss at Rs 7.37 crore

Future Consumer Ltd, a part of Kishore Biyani-led Future Group, today reported narrowing down of its consolidated net loss to Rs 7.37 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2017.

The company, earlier known as Future Consumer Enterprise Ltd, had posted a net loss of Rs 15.82 crore in the April-June quarter a year ago.

Its total income was up 41.45 per cent to Rs 668.06 crore during the quarter under review as against Rs 472.29 crore in the corresponding quarter last fiscal, Future Consumer said in a BSE filing

Its total expenses were at Rs 675.43 crore in April-June 2017, up 38.57 per cent compared to Rs 487.40 crore in the same quarter last year.
 

Shares of Future Consumer Ltd was at Rs 41.25 on BSE, up 6.87 per cent from the previous close.
