The anti-corruption bureau today arrested a deputy treasury officer of Etapalli while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 8,000.
The officer, Pramod Donuji Mukkawar, had demanded the bribe from the superintendent of an ashram school for sanctioning a bill of Rs 96,256 and releasing the money, an ACB release said.
On the complaint of the superintendent, the sleuths of ACB laid a trap and caught Mukkawar while accepting the money at a paan stall at Aheri, it said.
