An outfit worn by pop star Lady Gaga for a magazine photo shoot has sold for more than USD 15,000 at an auction.

The elaborate piece, created by avante garde designers threeASFOUR for the 'Applause' hitmaker's March 2014 Harpers Bazaar photo shoot, was sold in Los Angeles for USD 15,625, reported Contactmusic.

The outfit is adorned with clusters of large triangular shiny discs in mirrored metal along the chest, arms and front of the thighs.

The 27-year-old singer was the cover model for the issue and wore the flesh tone one-piece item, a stretchy power mesh bodysuit in a tiny size 4.

Gaga's costume also features a built-in cowl hat and full gloves with stainless steel laser cutout mesh pieces wrapped around the head, shoulders and arms.
