Out-of-favour opener Gautam Gambhir roared back to form with a fluent half-century as India A reached 115 for one against the West Indies A, still trailing by 153 runs in their first innings on Day 2 of the third unofficial Test, here today.
Coming into the game with a series of poor scores behind him, the Delhi left-hander showed glimpses of his old self with a delightful knock of unbeaten 60 runs off 107 balls, consisting of eight scintillating boundaries, at the KSCA Stadium.
This is Gambhir's 51st first-class half century of his career.

The 31-year-old moved his feets with assurance from the start and played the West indies bowlers with ease. He punished the loose balls and kept the scoreboard ticking in company of skipper Cheteshwar Pujara, who also looked solid at the other end.
Pujara, who also had a poor run in the series after getting a century against South Africa A, was batting on 36 off 58 balls with four hits to the fence.
Resuming at their overnight score of 10 for one, India had a poor start to the day as they lost opener V A Jagadeesh early on when he was castled by Trinidadian left-arm fast bowler Delorn Johnson for 16.
