Dublin actor Liam Cunningham, who plays Ser Davos Seaworth in fantasy epic drama "Game of Thrones", said there will be loads more violence in the new series.

"We just finished filming at the end of December," he said.

"I've seen a bit of it and it's looking really good. It's bigger, badder, bolder and naughtier. It's probably more violent, so there will be magnificent drama."

The sixth series of the show, much of which is filmed in Belfast, will continue on ahead of the book, as writer George RR Martin has yet to complete the sixth instalment, reported Independent online.

Season five, which features former "Love/Hate" star Aidan Gillen, ended on a knife-edge.

The fate of character Jon Snow, played by Kit Harington, hangs in the balance after he was repeatedly stabbed during a bloody finale.

However, Harington has been spotted around the Belfast set and enjoying pints in town with Cunningham, prompting speculation that Snow is not as dead as fans had feared.
