'Game of Thrones' panel coming to Edinburgh TV Festival

'Game of Thrones' will be making its debut at the Edinburgh TV Festival this year, it has been confirmed.

HBO's programming chief Mike Lombardo will head a panel with special guests, discussing the phenomenal success of the fantasy series and revealing some behind-the-scenes secrets for one of the most buzzed-about TV shows of all time, reported Digital Spy.

Actors involved in the series who are taking part in the panel will be announced soon.

Other events at this year's Edinburgh TV Festival include writer Jeff Pope and Sheridan Smith in discussion, Dynamo giving a TV masterclass, stars of 'Gogglebox Steph' and 'Dom' talking about the show's incredible success and 'Line of Duty' writer Jed Mercurio taking part in a panel about writing the very best drama.
 

The Edinburgh TV Festival started in 1976 and is attended by 2,000 delegates and top TV executives from around the world.

It takes place on August 21.
