The sixth season of popular TV show "Game of Thrones" will start airing in India from April 26.

The fantasy show, which is based on plot points from George R R Martin's book "The Winds of Winter", will be telecast on Star World Premier HD at 10PM.

The new season will address the season five cliffhangers that left fans speculating - Whether Kit Harington's Jon Snow was alive after he became the victim of a Julius Caesar-like uprising? Is Arya really blind now? What is the fate of Daenerys who is captured by the Dothraki army? Is Sansa Stark pregnant? Can Bran finally walk?, said a release here.

"It's probably her best season yet. It's her really coming into her own. She, this season, really commands the respect that she deserves and she grabs hold of it and she runs with it and it's really good," said actress Sophie Turner, who plays Sansa Stark.

The season 6 marks the return of Isaac Hempstead-Wright as Bran Stark, who was not seen since season four.

New cast members this season include Max von Sydow as the Three-Eyed Raven (a character first played by Struan Rodger) and "UnREAL" actor Freddie Stroma as Dickon Tarly, the brother of John Bradley's Samwell.
