Gamesa bags another 100 MW project from Greenko

Company will start delivering the turbines from May 2014 and commissioning has been planned in phases, beginning Sept

Technology provider and wind farm developer Gamesa Wind Turbines has bagged another 100 MW project, out of the total 300 MW agreement signed with owner and operator of clean energy projects Greenko, for an undisclosed sum.

"With the latest project, Gamesa has secured 250 MW of projects which are currently under various stages of implementation", Chennai-based Gamesa said in a statement.

In the 100 MW project, Gamesa would supply and commission 50 units of G97-2.0 MW turbines at various sites in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Rajasthan.

"Gamesa values the close collaboration we have with Greenko. This project once again reinforces our execution capabilities in India..", the Co-Chairman and Managing Director, Ramesh Kymal, said.
 

Gamesa would start delivering the turbines from May 2014 and commissioning has been planned in phases, beginning September.

The operations and maintenance services would be provided by Gamesa for a five year period, it said.
